[Impacts of the spread of COVID-19 on counseling counter operations]
○Regarding the counseling counters for foreign human resources
Both in-person counters and phone counseling counters are currently operating as normal.
However, due to the impact of the spread of COVID-19, there may be changes to the operation of counseling counters.
The system for incorporating foreign human resources certified as Category 1 of the Specified Technical Skills (Foreign Human Resources With Specified Skills) operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The specified skills apply to the Machine parts and tooling/Industrial machinery/Electric,electronics and information industries.
Counseling Counters were created to provide a place for foreign residents who have a status of residence of the Specific Skills in Category 1 for those fields, or who wish to acquire this residency, to ask questions.
Counseling Counters provide consultations about matters related to daily life, as well as about the Foreign Human Resources With Specified Skills system as related to the Machine parts and tooling/Industrial machinery/Electric,electronics and information industries.
Note: Foreigners supported by an accepting organization or a registered support organization, etc. (i.e., individuals with a residency status unrelated to Specific Skills in Category 1), should contact the "Counseling Counters for Japanese Businesses".
